I’m in New Orleans this week…

New Orleans is an interesting city. Too bad I don’t have time to go the French Quarter. I was last here with my fraternity brothers back in ‘97, then we went to the Quarter. Ironically, I don’t seem to remember much of what happened back then…. or maybe that was my own doing.
Anyway, I’m here… having fun… kinda…. At least this customer is cool….

Almost got my rental car run over the other day. I was heading to a customer’s site, and paying more attention to my hand-written directions and the street signs instead of what’s going on around me, and I turned left in front of a streetcar, which, fortunately, wasn’t going very fast and was able to stop…. I wonder who would “win” between a Monte Carlo and a streetcar named St. Charles?

I’ve met some really cool people here. And I love the accent. It might be a nice place to live if their schools didn’t suck and their taxes weren’t so high. People pay nearly 10% sales tax on food here at this customer’s place I’m working right now. 10 PERCENT! And we thought 7% was bad enough in Paulding County.
