Henry’s Louisiana Grill

Henry’s Louisiana Grill - Come Taste the Good Times

Okay now, normally, I wouldn’t plug a customer’s restaurant in here, but they’ve been talking about this place at work, and one of my dad’s co-workers said this place is awesome…. so we had to try it.

All I can say is WOW! The food is totally awesome and it seems to be very popular. They don’t open for dinner until 5 pm, and at 4:30 people were lined up on the sidewalk waiting to get in!

If you live anywhere within driving distance of Acworth, Georgia, I say GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO there.

I had the best damn cup of gumbo (next to my mom’s of course!) I’ve ever had in my entire life. For my entree, I had Henry’s Signature “Louisiana Ooh La La” (C’mon, it’s fun to say…. say it out loud) with Oysters, Shrimp, and Crawfish all deep fried and mixed in with spinach, garlic, Tasso, and Henry’s spicy cream sauce (if you like spicy, ask them to make it extra spicy). Then, as if it wasn’t enough, I had dessert. I had his daily special, the Oreo Cheesecake square. I”m picturing some small square, like the size of a credit card (like desserts are in most restaurants)… the waitress brings this huge chocolate monstrosity that’s practically hanging off the place, topped with chocolate syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. Whoa!

Oh yeah, and for you alcoholics out there… get the mixed drinks… they pour it with a heavy hand. I swear my Jack and Coke was glass of Jack with a shot of Coke. Not that I was complaining….

If I know you, and you live out of town and I say we’re going to dinner…. you already know where I’m taking you.
