Olympics… who cares?

There has been lots of coverage and hype over the Olympic games in Greece. I say who cares?

There hasn’t been a single story, or Olympian that I’ve cared enough about to actually watch the Games on TV. It doesn’t really excite me, so why all the hype?

I’ve set TiVO to record some events that sound promising, like fencing….. but I don’t fence, so am I really going have an interest in it? There’s men’s fencing, and chick fencing….. I really want to see chick fencing. That should be interesting.

I’m actually kind of waiting to see if there’s any terrorist activity at the Games. For the safety for everyone involved, I certainly hope not… but I do feel that same sick fascination not unlike watching NASCAR just for the accidents.
