The Rathergate Controversy

The Kerry campaign and the liberal media are running scared. They’re willing to do anything now to smear my President’s good name. In this case, someone’s full of crap and it’s really starting to smell.

The question is, who’s the culprit? Is it Dan Rather for not checking on his fact checkers before he went on the air with these false documents? Is it CBS News for not thoroughly checking the authenticity of the documents? Or is it both, who in trying to push their own liberal political agenda, forgot that Microsoft Word didn’t exist in the early 70’s?

How could Dan Rather possibly go live with this without getting his facts straight? It took only a few hours for the computer-savvy to discredit these memos. Surely, CBS News could, with the resources at their disposal, gather the same information.

Don’t believe they’re fakes yet? Click here for all the proof you need, from a non-Bush supporter, even! This letter concentrates only on the raw technology of the fonts and printing. It does not address many of the issues others on the Internet have raised, such as the incorrect usage of military titles and abbreviations, incorrect formatting relative to prevailing 1972 military standards, etc.

This is yet another obvious attempt by the Democrats and the liberal media to attack our President. So, like the Dems called for Bush to condemn the Swift Boat ads… I’m calling for Dan Rather’s resignation from CBS News. He now has no journalistic integrity and should receive no respect from EITHER PARTY.

So, why don’t you email evening@cbsnews.com and let them know how you feel! I have already called for Rather’s resignation via this email address. Once you’re done with that, send a letter to the president of CBS News, Andrew Heyward at:

CBS News
Attn: Andrew Heyward
524 West 57th St.
New York, NY 10019

I am also gathering a list of CBS News sponsors to boycott. I will release their information in a future post. This isn’t about Kerry vs. Bush. This is about a blatent lie told by a formerly “respected” news source to the American people. You have been lied to, doesn’t that piss you off?
