TiVo has abandoned me. For a long time, they championed themselves as a consumer’s product… now they’ve gone and gotten in bed with the advertisers.
I got TiVo for a couple of reasons… 1) We lose power out here a lot during the spring, and my VCR wouldn’t record my favorite shows, and I’d wind up missing them. 2) I like the conveinience of skipping commericials, if I want. I don’t mind watching commericials when I’m watching TV live, but when I’m watching it on TiVo, I’m watching it to catch up… I don’t have time for commericials. And now you’re going to go and put pop-up commericials overtop of my fast-forwarding?
Ugh, it makes me sick. If I’m skipping the commercials in the first place, why would I want to look at pop-up commericials? Don’t you think that’s gonna piss people off? Apparently, they didn’t consider that when opting to do this public relations nightmare.
If anyone from TiVo is reading this, please tell me why you want to torture me with more damn ads!
