Thanks Santa…. No Viruses….

I’m back after a two day break from all things electronic…. Of course the Christmas celebration was great. I ate way too much food, spent way too much money on people’s gifts, and of course, but got plenty of good stuff in return. Probably the gift I needed the most was the 512 MB of RAM I now have in my home computer, it will save me from wanting to beat something while waiting for my computer to boot up. I also got a DVD burner too, this should be interesting! I also got the usual required clothes, books, and CDs for Christmas. Overall, I must say Santa did a good job this year.

Speaking of the computer, I also recently switched Anti-Virus software from the bloated mass of garbage that Norton Anti-Virus is to AVG Free. It’s a nice consolidated piece of software that isn’t full of bloat and actually found two viruses on my laptop that Norton didn’t find! Because of it’s compact size, it also uses less system resources, which results in faster boot-up (which in my case, I need desparately).

Used AVG for ages. Changed to AntiVir (free) and have found it even better. Norton is barred here! Please check my blogs…greetings from New Zealand.
