Welcome to Miami…
This past weekend, my travels took me to “Little Cuba”… also known as Miami. One thing I can’t complain about was the weather… it was beautiful. Sunny and warm the whole time… a guy could learn to live with that year round. Also my hotel was practically right on beach. Unfortunately, there were very few hot babes in bikinis on the beach this week… what with it being December and all. I got the shot of these two by the pool… However, my customer this week was in the mall, and there certainly were plenty of hot “mamasitas” there…. Interestingly enough, school seemed to be out on Friday… lots of hot chicks at the mall…there was a group of Scandanavia looking blondes all wearing real short ass-bareing shorts and “Come F*ck Me” boots. It’s a weekend never to forget….
Now, enough of the positive, let’s get to the negative. Miami is called Little Cuba for a reason. As soon as I stepped off the plane, I felt like I was in another country. Most of the airport announcements are either made entirely in Spanish, or made in Spanish first, then repeated in English. That was really quite annoying, because you don’t know what’s going on…. epsecially in Miami’s airport, which is poorly designed and has very little visable signage to direct customers to where they need to go… I had to ask a baggage porter where my luggage would come out…. and then I couldn’t find where to catch my bus to the rental car, or even find the rental car counter itself… I finally saw a bus fly by outside… and even then I had to figure out to stand on the middle platform to get them to pick me up. Ugh.
I worked an insane amount of hours this weekend, and I missed the SEC Championship game to boot. That really sucked… my dad called not less than an hour after my boss scheduled the weekend job for me. Thank God for TiVo.
It was about 30 degrees cooler in Atlanta, where I spent a whopping 18 hours before I left for my trip to even colder climates… .New Jersey.

I’m with you! I went to Miami (just to stay overnight before a cruise) and had similiar issues. The hotel shuttle driver was Hispanic with poor English skills and deaf (literally). I couldn’t understand him and he couldn’t understand me. Thank god I know how to sign letters.
