Get out of your Element…
Have you seen the Honda Element and the Toyota Scion xB? These are the two most fucking ugly pieces of shit on the road. Who the hell in their right mind wants to drive a box?
The Scion is another Saturn experiment… a manufacturer who wants to start a “small car company” that has little association with the parent company… at least it’s relatively inexpensive… but I think even the starting price of $14,500 is a little much for a metal box on steroids. If you haven’t already, go look at the pictures of the Toyota Scion xB, and tell me what you think of this ugly thing.
As for the Honda Element, it starts out near $18,000! I can think of a lot more things I can do with 18 grand than to sink it on a metal box with those huge grey plastic blobs attached to it. I mean what the hell is that? At least with vehicles that have the plastic cladding on it (example: Chevy Avalanche), the cladding is protecting the metal, not replacing it! Being that it’s a Honda, I’m surprised it’s not priced to compete with the Avalanche (high 20’s to mid 30’s).
I’m starting to see more of these ugly shits on the road too… why on earth would people spend their hard earned cash on rolling metal boxes? These cars have all the aerodynamics of a brick… what is it that makes them so attractive? Can anyone shed some light on this? Please?

If I was forced, and by forced I mean these two vehicles being the last form of mobile transportation on earth, I’d choose the Scion as the lesser of two uglies.
When I see an Element, I end up making that “ick” face like someone just farted in my mouth; with the Scion, I can just say “damn, that is one ugly car,” but it could be tolerated like an ugly stepchild.
