Fired for Blogging

No, boys and girls… I wasn’t fired. As a matter of fact, I accepted a promotion yesterday! Happy days….

Getting back to the subject… anyone watch ABCNews with Peter Jennings last night? Did you hear the story about people getting fired for blogging. Now I say that is a total violation of first amendment rights… unless what you say violates a company policy. But there were a few people in the story that hadnt’ done that, and they were fired anyway….

Personally, I tend to keep my employer out of my blog… I mostly blog about the actual trip itself… But to think that anything ELSE I might could also get me fired… that’s kind of scary… and I believe a violation of the first amendment. Here’s a couple of links to fired blogger websites:
