Gee, now we have a name for everything… quirkyalone is for people who are over 30 and still single. That will probably be me, this time next year. Geez.
Why do we have to have a name, or a label, for everything? It’s getting pretty damn ridiculous. Just because someone felt bad about not getting a New Years kiss six years ago, doesn’t mean the rest of us want a label. I was quite content with just being “single”. Now I have “quirkyalone” to look forward to…. ugh.
I guess it was good for the person who came up with this damn label… she’s got a book, starting groups, etc…. damn, why can’t I come up with shit like that?
As a someone in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution put it, “What about just saying, ’single but not desparate’?”
Hmmm… there’s gotta be a book in there somewhere.
