Drive-by Tirades

Here’s a few rants to start your Saturday off just right.

I was driving home from work yesterday when all of the sudden my entire car shook with a loud booom. No, there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car. Someone had pulled in behind me in his mid-80’s Chevy Rowboat and was blasting his music so people in China could hear it. Why is there an obsession by young males (yes, I was one of them once) to listen to music so loud you blow out your eardrums? Occasionally, I notice some hearing loss myself, and I’m sure I can attribute it to years of blasting my music at full volume. My only wish now is that I hadn’t done that, as sometimes it’s frustrating to go “huh?” because you can’t hear what’s going on around you.

Speaking of things that are irritating, the toilet in my bathroom keeps leaking on the floor. No, not ewwww… it’s the clean water from the tank, not the dirty water in the bowl. I’ve tried tightening those screws that hold the tank in place, but to no avail. What the hell is wrong with this thing?

My neighbors insist on walking their dogs down my side of the street and allowing their little precious dogfaces to “fertilize” my yard. When did I give them permission to SHIT in my yard and then not clean it up? I don’t want dogshit in my yard… I’m trying to grow some grass out there… last thing I need is spots where dog shit and dog piss (which actually kills grass, it’s like nature’s Roundup) have been. Hell, if I had a dog, I’d clean it up… it’s only right.

I’m still not happy with the appearance of my blog. Over the next few weeks, you’ll see more changes, some new pages, and a few other things…

Well, it’s off to Home Depot to buy a toilet… what fun.
