my office would be an airport.
I’m a pretty smart guy. I’ve been using various computer systems for 19 years now and I’ve taught myself everything I know. But there are a few proprietary systems that my employer uses that I haven’t figured out on my own…. mostly because I haven’t been exposed to it enough, or given my own copy to put on my laptop. So, when it doesn’t work, I don’t really know what to do. And everytime this happens, I mention it to my employer… and then they conveniently “forget” about it when I get back to the office. Of course, then things like this week happen.
I’m out here in Kentucky where this time my employer forgot to install the software package on the computer. Oh, they supplied me the configuration files I needed once the software was installed… but we failed to install the software. On top of that, they once again forgot that I don’t know what to do with configuration files even IF the software was installed.
Why does my company insist on sending me out on jobs where they haven’t done theirs first? Why am I always cleaning up their mess? I hate my job. I need a raise. Anyone hiring?

Hey, if you keep dissin’ your employee on here, you may find your wish granted. Nothing is secret or sacred any more. Unless you are in a protected group, you have no rights!

ENERD, should that be “employer”, not “employee”?
I diss my employees all the time. They are useless. They know it, and are lucky to work for someone as talented as me.

If you mean “dissin’ my employer”… With the level of happiness I have at work, getting “Dooced” might be the best thing for me. At least it would motivate me to find another job faster.
If you mean “dissin’ my employees”… eh. Big deal.

Hey, it’s the fuckin’ spell check posse.
Yeah, I meant employer.
If you hate your job so much, quit. Get on unemployment and live on WIC cheese.
Maybe you can ‘invest’ in the lottery like I saw many citizens doing at lunch today. This older black lady actually said, “I dunt invest so much, I can’t quit now.”

C’mon, we all know the lottery is a tax on the stupid.
