TheBischI just bought this cuckoo clock from eBay. I’ve never owned a cuckoo clock before and I’m not sure why I wanted to have one all of the sudden. I set it up last week and have been letting it run. It’s a one day clock, which means you have to wind it everyday. My job isn’t very conducive to allowing it to run unchecked. I found a number of great resources online about cuckoo clocks. The problem is, I can’t find anywhere whether I should stop the clock when I travel, or let it run down.

A lot of people think a cuckoo clock would get annoying after awhile. I actually kind of welcome the “Cuckoo Cuckoo” sound at the top of every hour. It allows me to keep track of time a little better. Fortunately, it doesn’t bother me at night. I have yet to wake up to it’s calling. It’s actually a lot of fun and looks good on my wall.

Anyone else have a cuckoo clock? Any experiences with one? And if anyone can tell me what to do with it when I’m away, I’d be grateful.
