Missing Teen in Aruba
Who besides me is sick of the media coverage over this? This high school senior goes on a senior trip to Aruba and then disappears the night before she’s supposed to leave? C’mon. It’s obvious what’s going on: She doesn’t want to leave! I mean, would you? Personally, I’ve never been to Aruba, but I can imagine how nice it would be.
The woman from the affluent Birmingham suburb of Mountain Brook was last seen leaving a nightclub called Carlos ‘n’ Charlie’s in the town of Oranjestad.
Witnesses said she left in a car with three local young men between the ages of 18 and 25 at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Friends have said they have pictures of her dancing with young men at the club.
Authorities have said they talked to the three men who left with her, and the men claim they took Holloway to Arashi Beach before dropping her off at her hotel at about 2 a.m.
The Associated Press reports her uncle, Paul Reynolds, as saying he was told security cameras did not show her return to the hotel that night. The AP says police declined to comment on that report.
“We’re still looking, we’re still hoping she’s alive,” Soemers told CNN. He said several people claim they’ve seen the girl, but the leads have gone nowhere.
Search parties have combed the island looking for her and no one has found her. I don’t know of too many teen girls that are good at hiding, so maybe she did leave the island or isn’t able to be seen. Natalee was last seen leaving a dance club with some guys. So, she went off to have a little fun with the guys, and maybe something happened. They say that if someone is missing more than 48 hours, it becomes less likely that you will find them alive. No ransom has been demanded, no traces of anything have been found. Her bags were packed and her passport was on top of them in her hotel room. My guess is she went skinny dipping with the guys and drowned or worse, attacked by a shark or another fun sea creature.
But regardless of theories, I’m sick of hearing about it. It’s like there’s nothing else important going on in the news. Aruba is a 72 square mile island, search everywhere… search the surrounding waters… how hard is it? She couldn’t have gotten into another country legally without her passport. And how many teenage girls do you know are well adept at sneaking across borders?

I suspect she was unwillingly taken to Venezuela. It’s not very far away at all and like you say if she was in Aruba she would have been found. If she had drowned someone would have said so unless they actually drowned her.

I think that the boys have taken here somewhere and done something with her but there is a chance she could be alive or i hope for the family and everything. All good and bad things come to a end and with a answer.
