Lately, it seems all we hear about anymore is how bolder kids are getting these days about sex. When you hear about preteen girls engaging in ::answers(sexual rainbow parties):: you know things are getting a little out of hand.

I was reminded of what we considered “extreme” and “dangerous” when we were kids. Most of those experiences are now considered lame by todays standards. For example, one “extreme” thing I had done that once garnered massive respect among my peers was the fact that I had had sex with a now former girlfriend (we’ll call her “E”) on an elementary school playground. It’s been a long time, but I also seem to remember we almost got caught a couple of times. I also remember spending a lot of time with “E” partially naked in the front seat (I’m too tall for the backseat!) of my car. One of the more “dangerous” times, I remember her going down on me while driving around downtown Atlanta. Fortunately, I was able to control things and not wreck the car. Of course in more controlled environments, we toyed with handcuffs, hot wax and more…

That was a long time ago, and a lot of that was considered fairly “extreme” by my friends standards (we were around 18-19 at the time).

Another time, another former flame of mine and I found a new neighborhood and decided to “christen” all the rooms of one of the houses. She also loved to give me hand-jobs while driving down the interstate. But we spent most of our time in the privacy of my house, or more specifically, the bedroom.

This was a little different, it was only a couple of years ago, and she’s closer to these kids ages than I am (she was 20, I was 27). And she had relayed some interesting stories of her adventures prior to her dating me.

But these events in my life were all pretty much one on one. No “parties” or “orgies” or even threesomes, which seems to be required in order for it to be considered extreme these days. I can honestly say I’ve only been “caught” visually once having sex. One time “E” and I had parked near some park and gone off into the trees and we found a rock. In no time, things were a little heated up and I remember looking up and seeing a jogger about 50 yards away from us who had stopped to stare. When she realized I was looking back at her, she simply jogged away. “E” didn’t notice, and I had never said a word to her.

In between these times, I’ve done plenty of other interesting things with the women of my life, but it’s always been one-on-one. What causes kids these days to take the extremes to multiple partners, gangbangs and orgies? How did extreme become so extreme?
