Life in the Big City
So, here I sit in my expansive brand new hotel room in the bustling metropolis of Santa Rosa, New Mexico wondering “What in the hell did I do to deserve this?”
This town blows. I’ve had to stay over on my day off and there is nothing to do here. In case you’ve never been to Santa Rosa, NM, let me tell you a little bit about the town.
There is one main road on which all forms of business exist. If you are a business, it is required that you are on Will Rogers Drive. If you aren’t, no one will find you. There is no movie theater (that I have found), and I have confirmed that there is, in fact, no Wal-Mart here. That’s right boys and girls, not even WAL-MART wants to be here.
So far, I’ve found 12 restaurants, a truck stop, the Route 66 Classic Car Museum and they say Billy the Kid’s grave is around here somewhere.
Whoopie. What a way to spend my weekend.

I don’t know, there’s usually always something fun to search out, even in the smallest of towns.
I used to travel a lot when I was younger, been to a whole lot of off the beaten path places. Not that Billy the Kid’s grave is my ideal place to visit but stuff like that can be fun..
warble warble.
