What the hell happened?

Okay, two days ago it was quite nice outside… and then yesterday… BAM temperatures dropped like 30 degrees in one day. I’m wondering, what the hell happened to autumn?
Autumn is my favorite time of year… football weather, you know. I like it when temperatures are in the 60′s and get down to the upper 50′s… not down to the low 40′s… that’s too close to winter. When I have to turn my furnace on just to stay warm overnight… that’s too damn cold.
So, if anyone can tell me what happened to autumn, I’d sure appreciate it. I miss it already.

One of the best football games I ever went to, weather-wise, was Green Bay vs. Indianapolis at Lambeau Field in late-November 2000. It was a miserable day, temps just around freezing, with heavy wet snow falling, and I was severely underdressed, having just arrived from Texas. I loved it.
