Take a look at the picture over there on the right…. that’s an actual hotel room number in the Marriott hotel I stayed in last week in Plano. When I passed this room on my way to the vending machine, it caught the number out of the corner of my eye… I had to take a second look. I was a little surprised to see a room with this number. All over the country, they renumber the 13th floor as the 14th floor to avoid the superstition. I even know of examples in New York where they have a mini 13th floor (just big enough for a crawlspace) for the same reason.

Interesting, eh? What do you think? Would you stay here?
